Born in the Ivory Coast to Martinican parents, Max Orville became a teacher in Créteil before becoming school director for 30 years in Martinique. Initiator of innovative educational experiments, he set up an arrangement of children's rhythms of life which was to be a major educational success.
As a activist teacher, he joined the Martinique FSU before becoming its General Secretary from 2006 to 2009. His trade union commitment then became a political commitment when he became President of the MoDem Martinique. Since the 2009 European elections, he has been representing the republican and democratic values of the Mouvement démocrate in Martinique in several elections and among his fellow citizens in France and overseas.
