7th Congress of Coalición Canaria: New leadership!
Canarian EDP member party Coalición Canaria held its 7th Congress - which was held under the slogan "The important thing is the Canary Islands" - remotely and virtually on Sunday 29 November. Its members elected their new leadership as well as adopted several motions.
Former Canarian President and current senator Fernando Clavijo was elected as Secretary General. Fernando Clavijo and David Toledo Niz, who will act as secretary of the organisation, will thus become the new leaders of the party.
In his speech, Fernando Clavijo explained that “Only Coalición Canaria assumes the responsibility of defending the Canary Islands and putting a stop to the dismantling of all our rights".
The new leader highlighted the presence in his team of the new Secretary General for Organisation, David Toledo, until now Secretary General of Coalición Canaria's Young organisation. "This is not a commitment to the future, but to the present, and confirms that our organisation is a project committed to the Canary Islands across generations".
